This laboratory primarily investigates ecological and health-related issues within urban planning, such as urban heat islands, urban air quality, urban wind fields, pollutant dispersion, and urban rainfall infiltration. Scientific methods like technical monitoring, experiments, and computer simulations are applied to urban planning, urban design, site planning, and architectural design to implement goals for sustainable cities and healthy buildings. The lab is equipped with devices including particulate matter detectors, hazardous gas analyzers, VOC detectors, formaldehyde analyzers, micro wind field measurement instruments; and uses CFD software such as Fovent, Star-CD, Field-View, and Map-Info.
