Important Notice - Summer Internship Regulations in light of the covid-19 outbreak
1. In response to the Covid-19 epidemic, the Department of Architecture of National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT) has followed Article 18 of the "Regulations on Off-Campus Internship for Students": "In the event of a major disaster that prevents the normal operation of the internship mechanism, the Department will consider establishing a flexible internship mechanism in accordance with the relevant regulations of the University's authority and responsibility" to handle all summer internship-related regulations.
(2) The Department's Internship Committee (110.05.31) resolved and the Departmental Council (110.06.08) approved the resolution to prohibit students from doing internships during the summer of this year (110).
The Department has proposed a flexible graduation mechanism for recent graduates and juniors to seniors (based on the grade level of design courses). The freshmen and sophomores still have the opportunity to complete the original 50-day threshold during the winter and summer vacations next year, so they are not included in the scope of the flexible internship mechanism for the time being.
4. The Department's original requirement is that internship days should be at least 50 days, including work camps and activities for which the department faculty agrees to credit up to 10 days.
In addition to meeting the basic requirements for internship days, students must also meet the administrative procedures (including contract signing and completion of printing, consent forms, written reports, and other documents), or else they will not be recognized.
Those who do not meet the threshold should always participate in the summer online work camp and should join the summer online internship work camp offered by the department.
The content format of the work camp and the standards for course adoption will be planned by Mr. Hong-Yu Huang, the faculty member responsible for approving the internship credits.
If you have any questions about the above, please contact Mr. Hong-Yu Huang of the Department.
