The graduate institute of the department has subdivided into the “Design Theory Section”, “Urban Design Section” and the Intelligent and Healthy Architecture Section”. For this reason, the professors of these 3 areas of specialization jointly construct the architecture research team at Taipei Tech. All faculty members give lectures in the areas of specialization of respective sections and also engaged in the research of relevant fields to their individual professional and research interest. They also participate in important research projects at home and abroad, like the research projects of Academia Sinica, Ministry of Science and Technology, the Architecture and Building Research Institute, and other departments of the public sector. They have accumulated abundant findings from research and emerged as a group of leading research professionals in different aspects of architecture and building. They also play the role as leader in frontier academic research in Taiwan.
